Ha (meaning “River”) Schofield was born in Vietnam and received her formal art training at the Sarofim School of Fine Arts at Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas, where she focused on illustration, ceramics, sculpture and photography. She is self-taught in oil, watercolor and acrylic painting. She received her B.A. in International Studies, and an MBA in International Management. She has worked as a consultant for cross-cultural communications and international business development.
Having traveled to over 25 countries, Ha combines her passion for art with her love of world cultures. An avid travel photographer, she draws upon her images as inspiration for her landscapes and interpretations of nature. Using elements of romanticism, impressionism, and sometimes abstract art, Ha strives to capture the concept of movement, space and light, at play with nature. She is currently based in Houston.
